| We have included a reasonably comprehensive
compilation of purchase prices and specifics pertinent
to the sale of new Yamaha Pianos. It is our hope
that you will use this information as a reference and
guide rather than an absolute statement of value. There
are many ancillary factors to reckon with when pricing a
piano, new or used. If you own a used Bosendorfer and you
wish to determine its value, one approach would be to
reference your instrument to an exactly identical or as
close as possible comparable new model that currently
manufactured. In addition, you must also make allowances
for other important factors such as overall condition of
your instrument and the cost of restoring it to
condition that is as close as possible and comparable to
the condition of a new model. Then factor off from
the total price a percentage varying between 20-35% to
determine your used pianos value. Of
course the only way you can estimate the cost of
restoring the piano would be for you to get an estimate
from one or more established piano restoration specialists
(Piano Technicians). |
